Supplement after lifting or no?
I need to lose at least 50 pounds. I want to burn as many calories as possible. Should I take a protein supplement after lifting still?
>foods high in protein
>white bread
Intermittent fasting actially works great. I eat at a 600 surplus and maintain 11% bf while gaining strength and muscle. So the weight evens out. I started my fat ass friend on a similar diet but at an 800 deficit. Hes losing over a pound per week. Would recommend. You can ask questions if you dont know what I'm talking about.

It contains around the same amount of protein as beans and eggs, granted it does contain a lot more carbohydrates than the other two.

So he is consuming 800 calories under his normal caloric intake including exercise? I'm using myfitnesspal and its set at 1800, but I am thinking that is still too much.

>Should I intake more calories to lose weight?
Obviously, thinking eating more will make you lose weight is the basis of absurdity. Eat enough to stave muscle loss, but you'll have to be at a deficit to lose weight.

I actually have mozarella cheese at home that's 25g protein /100g.

mozzarella has a good amout of protein but most cheese (for example gouda) does not have a high amount.

I wish I could get huge to my hearts content but I have weight standards for the military and still have to run fast.

An 800 deficit for him is still 2400 calories. Hes big as fuck. Hes hungry and has relatively low energy but energy drinks can help with that.
Protein shakes are not a supplement, they are just another meal, one that happens to be low in calories and high in protein. If thats something you need then take them. Dont take them as a post workout gainnnnnz maker. Drink them as a meal everyday because you need more protein in your diet.
