I've been getting more into the niche side of things lately. Carthusia, Comptoir Sud Pacifique and Creed make fantastic spring and summer scents.

The Hermes Jardin line is really great as well.

I think it's lame as fuck, even with the hype surrounding it. I've sampled it several times and tried to get myself to like it. There is a huge underground market for fragrance nerds who mimic popular brands at a fraction of the cost. Basically there are only 1,000 or so "fragrance chemicals" that can legally be used, so famous brands pick a dozen and mix in a certain proportion to achieve a distinct smell. Knockoff labs then figure out which ones are used and replicate it; sometimes changing it juust enough to not violate trademarks. It could be a cheaper option for you.

You should also look into getting decantered samples before investing in a whole bottle. Basically people trade an 1/8th of a bottle of one type for an 1/8th of a different one to experience more scents without the investment.

How often do you guys wear cologne? To work or no? How many sprays and where?

Personally I used to do three or so sprays along my midsection but now I'll do one on my neck or none at all if I'm at work. I prefer not to be noticeable to others there.

If I go for an outing of some sort I'll do a couple on my torso and one on my wrist.

I wear pic related usually but sometimes do Drakkar Noir (serious).

Thanks, I got a sample given with a previous order I made a few years ago. I remember it being masculine, spicy yet clear and overall I liked it quite a bit. But im not looking for new fragrances right now, have a few bottles and maybe a dozen decants that will last me many years. I dont wear perfume every day and only use one spray anyway, regardless of projection or longevity of the scent Im using.
If I could go with one scent for the rest of my life, it would undoubtedly be Musc Ravageur. Last forever, is subtle, amazing progression and nothing gets you compliments like nothing else. Some people dislike the first 30min or so, so use it some time before you go out. Its still subtly lingering easily after 14 hours.

i sometimes wish i could wear perfume but even just one spray gives me a headache and in worst cases a runny nose on top of that

This anon speaks the truth. There are some nutcases in perfume forums, I remember some arab guy dozing himself in 8-9 sprays everyday. 6 sprays for Tobacco Vanille. People lost their shit, telling him how disrespectful it is to the people in his vicinity.
If you go over two sprays with TV, you'll stink up your whole city. Its as potent as it gets, one spray will still linger 20h later.
1 spray, if its a lighter or more subtle scent MAYBE 2. Everything else is just screaming for attention. You might not realize it because you get used to the smell and dont smell it yourself anymore after a while, but people notice. You dont want to be the try hard that stenches up a whole room when entering, regardless of how well you think you smell.

depends how often you use it. As an everyday scent only applied in the morning with 4 sprays? probably 6 months or so. If you reapply throughout the day or use more sprays obviously it's not going to last as long but yeah. Generally 1 spray = 0.05-0.1ml so you can do the mathematics.

This is my favorite fragrance. Smell cozy and chirstmasy but manly at the same time. The only downside is that you can wear it for like 2-3 months a year tops, around Christmas.

Got this as a gift. It's really light and pleasant smell that's perfect for wearing outside. Downside is that the performance is terrible.

Pro tip: If you wear this and go in the sea, the sea salt and the scent will mix creating the best smelling thing I ever smelt. Everyone should buy this, just be careful that you don't buy the new reformulation.

After 30 minutes smells like Aventus. You can't smell any differences. Amazing performance. First 30 mins smells absolutely disgusting. A small warning, it will last for 2-3 weeks on clothes.

My next purchase will be either Dior Sauvage or Dylan Blue because I am single after a while and need a night out summer fragrance.
