How much water do you need to drink to get water intoxication?

Whenever I get drunk I hammer water before going to bed, there have been times when I've done a full gallon, which in combination with the beer I just drank is far more than 8L.
I'm still alive (unfortunately).

Gotta consider the context, for example, one could theoretically overdose on coffee.

But the reality is you'd expel your stomach contents before you absorbed anywhere near the LD50.

So I'm wondering what the LD50 for water is specifically regarding, most likely it's in a vacuum. The stomach can only hold 1 L of fluid at a time, so I'm already wondering if this extra water won't just be flushed out of the intestines in the form of diarrhoea before it is absorbed, and therefore before it can upset the salt balance.

That's 6 liters within a small period dude. Yours was likely spaced out, and I'm assuming you've been eating. The reason water intoxication kills is because it flushes out sodium and other shit you need. If you eat that you'll replace it.

The alcohol will make it even worse. The problem with water intoxication isn't so much that you drink to much water, you piss out and dilute the amount of salts, potassium included, until you die. It's scary stuff

Yeah, I was trying to search for what time frame you have to drink the water in to get intoxication, didn't really get any clear answers. Figured I was probably fine but wasn't completely sure.
