Sad thing is, he's basically used as a spokesperson for why steroids are bad when steroids aren't what killed him. He abused the holy fuck out of narcotics and strong diuretics like Lasix. That's what turned his organs into mush, not hormone use. Obviously the hormones would have done him in eventually (he mega dosed some serious shit, it was wild) but they aren't what put him down early.
