Why are machines bad again? I feel like I work my muscles more when I use the chest press machine.
I'm not saying it should be done instead of bench or anything but there's this idea on /fit/ that all machines are bad. Why do you think like that?

because fat powerlifters only do squats and are jealous of anyone with good physiques
If it feels good then do it
My only issue with machines is that sometimes they force you into unnatural movements. Sure you can adjust them but people are different

Compound lifts can be somewhat applied to daily life situations, and doing only machines increases potential of muscle imbalances and it doesn't work stabilizing muscles which is unnatural for body.
They don't work your stabilisers. Someone who is good at the bench press is instantly good at the pec deck. Someone who is good at the pec deck will suck at benching. Its a more efficient use of your time to do free weights.
They're not.
They're just not as good as compounds in terms of efficiency and crossover. They're the same as any form of isolation.

So after bench press, should I do like 3x10 pec decks for isolation?

what's a good ratio of transfer? I can medium grip bench 105kg for 3x5 but pec deck is 150lb for 4x10-12.
Muscle growth is faster, but increased injury chance due to weaker stabilising muscles at higher weights, less at lighter weights. Transitioning to free weights will be tougher than the reverse.

not the same dude but sure, I love doing cable flies on days when i do bench. I usually do bench for strength and flies for hypertrophy
I mean I started off with solely machines and made amazing progress when I first started lifting. I'll still throw some in now and then for isolation purposes like the preacher curl.
I used to avoid machines like cancer because they're a meme, for normies, don't work stabilizers etc.
Now I love them as an accessory because you can go heavy on them without worrying about form or injury, then just really push it to failure.
You should still do freeweight compounds for all their benefits, but machines might help with gains in addition
