arnold press is a weird movement.
why not just do dumbbell ohp with a natural movement path?
i.e. neutral grip at start, internally rotating in top half of lift.
strong ohp'ers do that too (e.g. klokov, belkin).

probably because you're not doing them correctly.
the muscles that flex the hip (hip flexors) are connected to the front side of your lower back spine (lumbar spine).
so if you contract those muscles hard, you will arch your lower back in a bad way.
to keep this from happening, engage your abs and use your ass muscles to prevent your pelvis from anteriorly tilting too much (websearch APT to see what to avoid).
