Redpill me on fatgripz / bar grips /fit/.
I won't buy actual fatgripz because they're overpriced as fuck but there's a bunch of knock-offs on amazon.
My hands hurt when doing dips because my handles are so thin so I was thinking of getting a pair of these anyway to make them easier, but apparently using these for other exercises makes them harder and gives you a more intense workout.
Do they actually work or are they just a big meme?
They're okay. Not superior to farmer walks for grip gains, but probably good for your use.

of course they work
thicker bar will be harder to grip, so your grip strength will be working extra hard
are they necessary? probably not, but it's nice to have some variation
but I don't think that'd apply to a dip station

Wtf thanks for reminding I have these laying around somewhere. Gotta start using them again

wat. how is this possible? what's your hand span?
i have cancerous forearms that are constantly giving me trouble, meaning that doing heavy pull exercises with any intensity is not an option, i heard these can help to relive forearm pain, and they do work, but obviously they are not useful for deadlifts and shrugs and the like due to the weight, but for stuff like training arms and shit they work pretty well

I just train my grip by holding my double overhand 1-rep max on deadlifts for as long as I can

Not working through the pain until your conditioned to it?
>just might not make it.

Thiccgrips
That is the best thing I've heard on /fit/all week

Maybe if you are a strongman? Are you? No.
They are good from what I hear. I might buy them if I find them on sale in the future.
Joe DeFranco made a good video about them.

why not just wrap a towel around the bar?
