Pic related, me at my fattest. 400 lbs
Determined to lose 30 lbs in 3 months. Who is with me /fit bros?? Im currently 270 and 26 percent bf. A couple years ago was 400lbs, i feel amazing compared to then, but theres still a ways to go!! Share tips and motivation!
>26% BF at 270
lmao are you 6'6"?
keep dreaming nigger you're at least 30%

You must be tall af if you're 400 pounds in that photo.
6 feet, been big my whole life. Used to play football so always been lifting, just ate like shit
Good job, but I don't think your 26% BF at 270. I'm 6'2 190 Ibs, dropped down from 235. No idea on my current BF% tho. I've been lifting for about 9 months.

You can lose a lot more then that starting fatty. Shoot for 5lbs a week.

Don't do this
2lbs/wk is very respectable, it took your fat ass years to put on that weight. Don't expect it to come off overnight.
Op here, was lifting for 1 and a half hours a day and cycling for 2 hours a day for a year, went full on autistic about it, since then got a gf and got some chub back

Just count calories. Calculate your tdee (put 0 for exercise, even if you do some) and eat 500 less a day per pound you want to lose every week. 500 cal deficit = 1lb a week, 1000cal deficit = 2lbs...ect. Very easy to drop a lot of weight starting.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about
Someone as overweight as OP could easily shed 3-5 pounds/week simply on a 1800-2000/cal diet

Yeah just start4d doing this again. I ride atvs for my job, 8 hrs of riding in mud and cattle pastures tires me out so i get pretty tired. Been drinking a gallon of water at work plus 4 cups of coffee to counteract the fatigue

I've lost 100lbs from 280 -> 180
5lbs/wk is too much, stop talking out of your ass. Yes, he'll lose 5-8lbs the first week but it's mostly water weight, and an absolutely unsustainable rate of weight loss.
Stop talking out of your ass.

This
At high bodyfat levels you can easily gain muscle while cutting in fact. Your body won't start having a problem with this until you get to around 15% bodyfat.

alright cheers man. it's really easy to drop the first 50 or 80 lbs. The last bit is the hardest. Don't think so much about it, just maintain a deficit and you'll get there within the year. If you care you can probably lose that 30lbs within 2 months if you push it.

He said he was moderately active. At 1500 calories a day he'll lose 4 lbs a week. That's not unsustainable at all.
>>41136396
Just a guess I'd say you're close to 25-26%
>>41136396
Disgusting body, dude. You look soft and doughy.

>Fifty-eight adults who were either normal weight (NW) or overweight (OW), and either attempting (WL) or not attempting weight loss (noWL), exercised on a treadmill at a moderate (60% HRmax) and a vigorous intensity (75% HRmax) for 25 minutes.
>Following vigorous exercise, OW-noWL overestimated energy expenditure by 72%, and overestimated the calories in their food by 37% (P<0.05). OW-noWL also significantly overestimated exercise energy expenditure compared to all other groups (P<0.05), and significantly overestimated calories in food compared to both WL groups (P<0.05)

TLDR: he is not engaging in moderate exercise

Sorry but you are probably mid 30%~ at 270 @ 6'. Especially since you are more than likely a noob wth little muscle mass. At a decent bf (15%~) you'd weigh around 170-185 at the relatively same muscle mass.

He dropped 20% of his body weight bro, give him a break
