hey /fit/
i started lifting 3 weeks ago and im using mostly maschines, but heres my problem:
why is it way easier for me to use only one arm at a time than both at the same time;
for example (beware dyel weights):
OHP struggling with 35kg with both arms at the same time, but can easily go for 25kg if i use one arm at a time.
same with chest press: both arms i can do up to 40kg while i do 30kg if i use one arm after another
Could it be that i am too tall for these maschines (6'6) and should go for dumbbells ?

Machines are scientifically proven to permanently keep you in dyel mode and as such I would switch to dumbbell or barbell workouts.

Not doing compounds

Stop using machines they are just a crutch to make you feel "safe" while you lift.
Freeweights are like riding a bike without training wheels. Yeah you might get hurt but you also don't look like a raging pussy.

Come back when you've actually started lifting

(mandatory dont use the machines comment)
its probably that youre breaking form when using just one hand and activating muscles that arent supposed to be used in the movement
but seriously, machines are supposed to be accessories that help with main lifts, dont lift machine centric

You are most likely breaking form and using your whole body when using only one arm
Hit that deadlift maschine brajole
