hi anon, for the past 3 months i started doing bwf. i've felt some discomfort/pain on my ligaments/joints of the shoulders and wrists, especially on the right side. it usually goes away after a few days.
can i train through the discomfort/pain or am i setting myself up for tendinitis?
what do?

Learn that before asking any questions

have better posture and do forearm exercises and stretches. I had some RSI-like stuff in my wrists and shoulders from computer usage, strengthening forearms and having better posture was essential for stopping the pain.

i also spend a lot of time daily on the computer. i've been trying to actively correct my posture (both sitting and standing). i also always warmup before i do my routine, for example i do dynamic wrist stretches, shoulder rolls and dislocates.

It will go away after some time.
I had shoulder pain during my first year of calisthenics. Went away by itself.

from what i've read ligaments/tendons/joints take longer to develop compared to muscle. but should i workout if i'm feeling some discomfort, or should i rest until the feeling subsides completely? for it to go away completely usually takes more than a week.

From what I remember, I was training every second day back then, and I felt more pain right after the workout, while maintaining some discomfort/little pain when moving my shoulders throughout the day.
Nothing happened to me.
I was overdoing pull ups, though. Like seriously overdoing them. 300 pull ups in an hour or so.
Might be that you're overdoing something just like me, or doing some elements wrong. Form is important.
