Every major tournament is sanctioned by the IWF. And Lovchev, who set a C&J world record got busted. Weightlifting is so coprrupt that if you're not wining gold at either worlds or olympics, there's not really any point. This is also why most retired lifters are working on improving their brand and doing seminars for crossfitters as a way of making money. See Torohkty and Klokov.
