My diet lately has been mostly "snacking" on fruits

My diet lately has been mostly "snacking" on fruits and veggies. Every few hours I'll chow down on some veggies or fruits. Every now and then I'll have some protein (skinless boneless chicken breasts) and grains (mostly all bran cereal eaten without milk or sugar)

How good is this diet? What else do I need?

I'm trying to lose weight and protein puts a ton of calories in my system. When I do eat protein, it's usually my whole day's worth of it. The rest of the day I eat mostly fruits and veggies and bran cereal. I stopped buying bread, dairy, pasta, etc. because they're way too high in calories and too tempting to overreat.

what the fuck are you talking about, protein is the most important of all three 3 macros. get your protein then worry about the rest. Fruits and veges have little calories.

What you're doing is great but you should add chicken/turkey breast, tuna, cottage cheese or whatever into every meal, there is no argument about this. What's your maintenance and how many calories do you think are in 150g of chicken?

Protein and carbs yield 4kcals/g. Ethanol yields 7kcals/g. Fats yield 9kcals/g.

Just eat like 6 eggs for breakfast and 2 chicken breasts every day with as much steamed brocolli/brussel sprouts you want. Youl get like 140g of brotein and feel full for under 1000cal a day
