>"Don't lose weight too fast. You'll enter starvation mode and gain it all back!"
Am I being memed? I lost ten pounds in the last week or so.
Starvation mode doesn't exist.

If you're really overweight, the pounds are going to fly off you fast naturally. If you're losing weight, then fucking lose weight and ignore the haters.

yes its a meme. losing muscle is the only real concern but if u are fat or babby then whatever just cut at biggest deficit u can maintain

What are you talking about? It's the reason why Tumblrites can't lose weight. Certainly not because they are eating like shit and not exercising.
>>41084266
You're only gonna lose muscle on a diet if you do HIIT with poor nutrition though.

Keep going OP. Walk 1 hour per 4 days a week, introduce some variety into your exercises, and most importantly, keep eating healthy. Proper nutrition is what any diet hinges on.

Confirmed for having never actually been in starvation mode. Granted if you've never been really lean before (<10%) then sure starvation mode is a myth. I did put myself there trying to go from ~9% to 6% bf. It's fucking real you just have to already be lean as well as eating too little in order for the effects to happen.

I don't eat fruits or vegetables. I'm literally just staying hungry. If I do eat something, it's when my stomach growls. Maybe.
I don't give a single fuck about being healthy. All I care about is not being an ugly fat fuck.

I'd rather be an ugly fat fuck, lol. I really hate being fat.
>>41084390
Wow. I fucked that up.
ugly skinny fuck*
Starvation mode is mostly psycho-physiological, meaning that weight loss results in hormonal changes that produce an increased drive to eat which easily leads to gaining back weight. The metabolic changes (reduction in calorie output) are somewhat minor but they're there.

You sound like a highschooler
>>41084238
The only people who I've heard say anything about starvation mode were over 60 lbs overweight so I have to assume they know nothing about nutrition
