How can you guys be so dedicated to working out and keeping a diet?

I can't keep up with a weekly routines.

Should I kill myself?

Because life sucks and its the one thing that I can keep under my own control. During the weekdays i have 6 hours of free time after i get off work. Its incredible boring and this kills 1-2 hours of it each day.

I don't follow a routine or count calories/macros.

I just lift weights 3-6 times a week, usually a full-body workout composed of whatever exercises I feel like for the day, and just eat as much as I want of healthy foods. I sort of keep track mentally of what exercises I have to do.

I workout at home too. I've seen great results and I barely have to even put any effort in. I lift weights when I _want_ to lift weights, I'm never forcing myself to do it, it's like masturbation, it feels like a physical release of tension, and I do it whenever I want throughout the day.

I can feel when I need a rest day, I can feel when it would be beneficial to my muscle growth, and then I don't life for a day or 2.

It helps that I'm a NEET with all the free time in the world.

ever notice those people that ONLY talk about their diet, and going to gym -- they're making it their lifestyle

Plus desu my job sucks and i need purpose, goals to be happy, like everyone does eventually. lifting provides that.

It takes a while and more than one try to make a routine into ROUTINE. Like brushing your teeth twice a day it has to become something you just do.
