Recently I've relapsed into the L sit again. Does it have any long term negative affects?
It's probably better than how I sit

Fucked up knees, fucked up upper back area and neck. Stop before you get serious back/neck pain.

It makes me feel like L.
When I walk around the house I always wear a bathrobe and walk on the balls of my feet. I slouch and pick things up with my fingertips.
I love it

No as long as you keep your spine straight.

>It makes me feel like L.
Aaand here we go. Anon. Please.
Is it really different from squatting? why would it ruin your knees?

I often sit in the meditation pose. If you do it for extended periods of time your knees get really cold. It probably reduces blood perfusion to the area. The same happens with L-sit.
Back problems also shouldn't be a cause for concern. You are resting your torso on your thighs, so the only thing that happens is a slight stretch of the hamstrings.

Anectotal but I recently hurt my meniscus sitting like that

Be your own version of L. Don't idolise an anime character
If you wanna sit awkward however, sit like this on your chair

Doesn't matter because even at 100% you wouldn't stand out.
