Hello /fit/.
I recently started lifting again after a five year break wich has made me skinny again. The reason for this is because i skateboard 2/3 times a week witch burns a lot of calories. I have been skateboarding actively since i was nine and have all ways been in a slim shape so to say.
I think that skateboarding is a good exercise for my legs all though i'm not completely sure about this.
Will lifting two days a week be enough to make it? Can i skip legs? As i basically train my legs and stomach muscles as i skateboard?
Na

Follow Nick Dompierre's example /thread

if anything you will have a above average base for squats compared to skellies getting into fitness, all you need to do is eat more and you can do a real program and keep skating

alternatively you could just try and outskateboard a train and tell me how that goes.
As always it depends on your goals, if you just want to be skinny with a small amount of muscle you probably don't even need to go to the gym just do pullups/pressups/dips at home alongside you're skating.
Most importantly is nutrition as always though

>be me some years ago

>cardio is a meme

should I pick up skating again? will skating affect my lifts when my cns is a meme?
Mate lifting makes you better at skating in some ways.
I got back on my board a few months ago and could ollie higher than ever thanks to leg gains, also could do triple flips whereas I used to struggle with doubles.

Are your lifts affected by skating injuries? is getting used to/knowing how to fall a meme?

I haven't hurt myself skating in a long time, thankfully.
Mostly because I don't really do anything big anymore, I stick to flatground and small rails boxes. Don't want to risk a fucked tailbone or sprained ankle again.
But yeah, my left ankle mobility is limited due to being sprained while skating several times. I ended up just buying lifting shoes because it would not get better.
Knowing how to fall is a great skill for anyone. Its amazing how badly people can fuck themselves up because they don't know how to react when they trip or slip.

>not jumping gaps/stairs
>why even skate
bants aside how is skating as a cardio exercise, like messing around at a skatepark or something
