Just failed my OHP for the third time in a row, time to deload again. How many deloads did you have to go through to get to 1pl8?
None desu
Just tried different rep ranges.

>tfw ohp is 145 3x5 whats the best way too get too 200 lbs for 1 rep
Idk but I got my OHP to around 185x5 then I stopped doing it for about two months and only did Dumbbells and machine press. Now I can barely do 135x3.

145x2 until you get to 145x4-5 then bump up to 155x1-3. You keep doing that anon until you can hit 200. That's called progressive overload.

uhh what?
he said he can already do 145 for 3 sets of 5...
when you say do 145x2 until you get to 145x4-5 what do you mean?
>>40993294
Just bump the numbers up by 10 lbs. If that faggot can ohp 145 for 3x5 then he can just put more weight on and progress forward at 155 at lower rep range until he hits 155 3x5 and repeat the process. It's retarded that he's even asking.

Honestly this. But this is coming from someone who progresses along a hypertrophy focused program without an emphasis on asap max strength gains. Deloads in the sense that you're talking about don't really occur when you're always progressing through the 8-12 reps x4 sets scheme. By the time you can hit 12 reps at any given weight, you're pretty much gauranteed to hit the next higher weight at at least 8 reps x 4 sets. Which over the next few weeks will become 9 reps, 10 reps, 11 reps, 12 reps, then repeat the cycle.

There's no way you lost that much physical strength so fast. Probably more of a mental thing, but anyways thanks for reminding me to keep pressing forever

for me benching and close grip benching makes my OHP go up more than pressing and benching together does
might be a side effect of extremely long arms
