You won't get lean/lose fat directly from it either (you get lean through diet).

Yes, but it will take many years to look anywhere close to decent in clothing.
You can look good in a year or so shirtless, but you won't be big. (that said, even lifting in a gym will take a few years to get to a size that is considered big without being fat also)
