Is it really necessary to eat fruit? Am i hurting my health if

Is it really necessary to eat fruit? Am i hurting my health if i dont eat fruit? I almost feel like the antioxidants and vitamins i would get are at the cost of taking in a bunch of extra sugar that i dont need or ever crave. I eat a ton of vegetables with every meal btw.

Fruit is fucking delicious, and entire pound of strawberries is like 140 calories. Why you dont eat fruit is beyond me. There are so many things that are worse for you then vitamin packed fiber with natural sugar

Fruits and vegetables tend to have different beneficial effects on the body due to containing different classes of compounds, different types of fiber etc. It's not just about some checklist of vitamins and minerals. With that being said, you absolutely can get all your vitamins and minerals from just vegetables, so you certainly aren't at risk of some deficiency just because you don't eat fruit.

Because fruits tend to contain more calories than vegetables, they are a good source of calories (unlike vegetables, which are barely a source of calories at all)

You absolutely do need sugar, especially as an athelete. You need sugar so much that your body will convert protein to sugar if you don't eat it. Sugar is muscle-sparing

Fruit has sugar but it also has fiber. Fiber counteracts the toxicity of carbohydrates.

Refined sugars, after being processed, have no fiber. Therefore you get the carbs without the fiber which is no bueno.
