Can't touch my toes without bending my knees while standing. Is this a hip mobility issue or is it because my hamstrings are too tight? What can I do?
Same here. I've always wondered too. I can't do it when sitting either. 5'11" and 170lbs. Not fat. Fairly skinny.
Ditto, I'm 6'3 avg. build and cant do it but my sister is 5'11 and can palm the ground without bending her knees.

It's probably hamstrings. Hamstrings are one of the most common points of poor flexibility, due to our sedentary lifestyles with our legs always bent.
Just do stretches 10 minutes a day and you'll see improvements.

look up pnf stretching and do this stretchs every other day. after warming up your ankles.
you will be able to touch your toes in 2 weeks at most. touch the ground in 3-4 weeks and thumb on the floor in 2 months.(probably faster)
I have the same problem. I've been stretching every day for 2 weeks now. No progress at all. Any idea what's going on?
270lbs/6'3 fat ass who sat in front of the computer or slept 90% of his life here and I can easily palm the ground

do pnf stretching
Just do romanian deadlifts. Each rep is a weighted stretch on your hamstrings.
I do them standing on a plate now because I'm flexible enough that I can hit the floor with regular 20kg plates on the bar.
