do your shoulders a favor and stop doing lat raises because they are terrible for them. start doing lu raises instead with plates or dbs

Hello DYEL
>>40908561
I dont know man, most of the big guys and pros do lateral rises. And most of the "Dont do X, its shit, do Y instead!" "This one new excercise will create MONSTROUS chest!" advices are clickbait meme tier bullshit.
I don know man... Lu rises...
Does somebody knows about them?
>don't do lateral raises
>just do lateral raises with more ROM
Lu raises are a pretty good movement, but lateral raises are fine. They different yo.
It's like doing high facepulls vs low facepulls, one is about shoulder health and the other is about rear delt mass.

So
>don't do heavy DB raises with lots of momentum
>instead do a large rom with less weight
what a novel idea, it's not like this is posted in every shoulder thread or anything

not OP but this ripped fucking manlet I was friendly with at the gym with the biggest shoulder to anything ratio I've ever seen would do do them.

Med fag here. Ever since I had classes on shoulders semiology, I started doing lateral raises with thumbs up, lower part of the movement arms behind the body, not in front, so I'm isolating lateral and posterior delts. I do not go over 30o above shoulder, though, bc there's almost no deltoid contraction beyond shoulder level.

Could you elaborate on the lower part of the movement? So arms are begind your body until arms are perpendicular to the floor and then in front? Post a video or something
also are you dyel

>bc there's almost no deltoid contraction beyond shoulder level.
thats not true
>>40913024
Just like "lu raises", I move my arms from behind my body (lower portion) to lateral to my body (upper portion). Yeah, I'm 6'5 dyel. You can get the same advice elsewhere from ripped guys, tho.

My Moore anatomy isn't near so I can't quote it now. But here's another reference:
