Current D1 wrestler here. I was a state place finisher 3 years in high school. D1 is a whole new game senpai, you better have either massive balls or be a quick learner. desu find something else to do, even drill partners need to be great.

I was thinking about going to korea this summer yo train with my korean wrestling coach - he wrestled in the world championship back in the day and has connections with the korean olympic team.

I am a quick learner, i just need to get my conditioning up.

What school do you wrestle at?

A lot of kids at this level have been wrestling since they were born, I doubt one summer will be enough. By all means, if you wanna do it then do it, but don't get your hopes too high. I wrestle at PSU

I have experience in wrestling.

I wrestled for four years in high school and got first place in the DoDea version of states my last two years. (But desu the competition was a joke)

Im just saying im not completely inexperienced - ive only wrestled free style.

And what weight class are you wrestling at PSU?...

I won't get into specifics just for privacys sake, but literally any wrestler will tell you it involves a lot of picking people up and putting them down lmao. Run your ass off, then run your ass off with your buddy on your back. oly/powerlifting hybrid type thing going on in the gym currently

kek i can't just tell you i don't need people looking me up. I'm not light tho, thicker than i want to be. And if you have experience then hell yeah go for it, I wrestled freestyle in addition to folk during high school, definitely helped take me to the next level.

It will make you tougher for sure but I wouldn't expect to compete at that level d1 wrestling is full of savages
