this is probably because CICO is a myth
>>
>>40856983
I'd reckon it holds true in most cases. I'd say it's more likely that most people can't count calories for shit or don't know how much they expend
>>
>that guy that unironically trains overhead press as a main movement
shiggydiggydoo
>>
>>40856983
If it's a myth then that essentially means
>consume less energy than you expend
>end up with more energy than when you started
???
>>
>>40857030
believe it or not, a human body isn't a closed system
>>
>>40857040
what other outside factor would you suggest is providing the fatties with energy then doctor? sunlight? memes?

For one, your body does not expend a set amount of energy all the time. When it gets less, it can react by actually needing less.
For two, think about it. Heat is nothing but energy. So is light. Food isn't the only source of energy that exists.

>1pl8 OHP for reps
>2pl8 bench for reps

>only 3pl8 x 8 for deadlift

Please fucking end me. 4pl8 diddly seems impossible and so does 3pl8 squat.
>>

>For one, your body does not expend a set amount of energy all the time
No shit, but you'll typically be in a set range assuming nothing drastic has happened.
>>
>>40858044
>assuming nothing drastic has happened
Like a major change in food intake?
>>
>>40858060
Your body adjusts within a few weeks, and assuming you're doing 500-1000 calories less than your TDEE you'll be 100% fine. You can't seriously believe you wont lose weight if you're calculating properly and working out.

>heat
ambient heat varies very little so its affect on the energy required to maintain body temp is negligible

>light
the human body has no way of converting direct sunlight into usable energy. you dont have chloroplasts in your skin do you? the effect it has on body temp is negligible

> When it gets less, it can react by actually needing less
no. not in any meaningful way. youre just wrong

and even if people had significantly different metabolic rates from one another (which they dont), cico would still apply. it would just move the range of calories you need (this one is hard for me to put into words, but I hope you understand what Im trying to say)
>>
>>40858017
do less reps and increase weight

increase weight by 5lbs every workout

>usable energy
cone cells (?) in the eyes generate electrical impulses and send them to the brain. at no point is this energy available to be converted into fat which is what he was talking about

but you were just memeing me werent you

(dont remember if theyre actually call cone cells kek could have just made that up)

its only in his eyes tho, so the trade off is he has to look directly into the sun, eventually going blind kek
>>
>>40858017
You're pretty close to 3pl8 squat. I could only do 275x5 and could just about do 315 for my 1rm
>>
>>40858240
>>usable energy
The energy is used to send signals to your brain.
>>
>>40858328
we're talking about being a fatty. is it useful for making fat? do you have obese eyes anon?
>>
>tfw can't squat because of genetically fuckded knees

Too it to 165kg for a triple in less than a year, I think I could have been somewhat decent at it.
>>
>>40858392
squat wider and use sleeves or wraps

Kek
>>
>>40858407
Did both, no effect. Spent almost a year trying to figure it out, senseless.
Retropatellarthrosis running in the entire family, it is how it is.

All though lately some docs told me that it doesn't cause strucular knee damage and thus can be "ignored". It will always hurt, never get better but also never worse.
But idk about that. The idea of training through a pain sounds comical and wrong to me.

>>
>>40858478
It's really fucking sad indeed. I was good at it too. It was fun.

I'm happy I can deadlift at least, even there my knees ache like shit and I need to stretch my quads after each session in order to relieve it a little.
