how do i get stronger if my exercise tolerance is really fucking low?
so i did 160kgx2 deadlift and eccentric glute ham raises 3 days ago and i can still barely bend or walk
fuck genetics, any advice?
>>
lower your deadlift weight.

increase your reps.

increase your sets.

say you drop that dl to 130 kg and do 5x5, then add weight every time you lift. deloading and reloading is covered in SL.

are you sure you're eating enough, especially enough protein?

post specs, too little info.

also stretch.

I don't even have to know exactly what you did at the gym, how old you are, what your body is like, what you eat, how much you sleep, or anything else, to know exactly precisely WHY you're having this problem:

You went to the gym and did WAY TOO MUCH SHIT, and jacked yourself up because of it. Now you're whining about 'low exercise tolerance'. Was it also your first time at the gym? I think it might be.

BACK THE FUCK OFF. Newbies need to take it EASY for the first few WEEKS until your body gets the idea you're not just going to go sit back down on the couch and play vidya gaymes.

The typical /fit/ fag thinks he has to move mountains from the very first time at the gym or his buddies will think he's a fag (i.e. peer pressure). Get over that shit and get real.

what newbie lifts 160kg?

Bad text comprehension you got going there mate.

I can recomend this from own opinion. I went down on deadlift again to do 5x5 and now I can even do 5x5 twice a week with a weight I could barely lift before.

Foam.
Roller

It feels so good the day after
>>
I just do a 15 min stretch routine and I deadlift singles/doubles twice a week without problems at 4.5 pl8 while on a cut.

This has made me flexible enough to get my legs over my shoulders and practically do the splits so maybe that has something to do with it.

the thing is i did 3 exercises: deadlift, behind the neck and glute ham raises (Eccentric only)
also i didn't do a shit ton of stressful sets, the deadlift i did a pyramid (100x3,120x3,140x3,150x3,160x2) so the previous sets were much easier
>>40809668
i am eating enough kcal/protein/vegetables, my weight is increasing
>>40809867
i was doing 5x5 on lifts before and i had the exact same problem and found it hard to progress, however i might try it again, maybe this time ill be able to run it more succesfully

MORE PROTIEN AND TAKE A SIMPLE MULTIVITAMIN AND ZINC. DONT TAKE SNAKE OIL. YOUR BODY HAS BEEN RIPPED UP REPAIR IT WITH PROTIENS THEN YOUR SORENESS WILL BE CURED COMPLETELY.

JUST LIKE DRINKING WATER AND HAVING HEALTHY FOOD WHEN YOU GET DRUNK TO CURE A HANGOVER.
>>
>>40809924
what kind of stretching do you do? what was your mobility like before?
when im not sore my mobility is not terrible, however id like to increase it if it has benefits for recovery
>>
>>40809975
I started stretching since I was basically becoming a prisoner within my own body as I got bigger, everything was so tight, I had terrible mobility and even had Costochondritis from my chest being so tight.

I started doing a full stretch routine after each workout that basically went over the entire body and now I'm much more flexible and never get injuries whereas before I'd get them fairly often.

I don't think it matters which stretches you do as long as you research a set of them that hit every muscle you care about.

mainly static or dynamic stretches?
