My lower back is really sore after doing heavy squats and deadlifts and feels a bit tight
Is this indicative of bad form or a weak back?
Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is not a bad sign but if your back started hurting during or soon after your workout than something is probably wrong.

if you were doing low bar squats,it's probably just soreness

I think its a weak back
Soreness is to be expected since they both tax the lower back pretty heavily, but if you're getting legitimate pain then das no bueno famo
Thanks senpai, back doesn't feel sore now.
I reckon it's just a weak back, injuries would linger

I used to have it, now I do some yoga movements as I get up in the morning and I'm good.
Here they are. There's no sense in translating what he says, just watch the moves and do them 3-5 times as a morning gymnastics or as a part of your warm-up.

Most likely weak glutes from bad form.
Do some isolate work on your glutes and dont forget gluteus medius and minimus. This is literally most common problem

Take a video of yourself during squats and diddlies, make sure you're not over-arching at the bottom of squat and during the top of the deadlift.
Drop weight and continue to review your form until you know you're keeping your spine straight: not rounded forward or overarching.
sometimes lower back pain is sore glutes, Consider stretching/ foam rolling your butt
