>takes me 60 minutes to burn 800kcal with LISS
>takes me half that time to burn the same amount with HIIT
wtf I love cardio now

LISS burns fat
HIIT burns muscle and fat
HIIT - for those too weak willed to do real cardio.
Powerlifters and their "conditioning" lol.

Thats just retarded
As we all know, sets of more than 15 reps are basically just cardio.
I read an article the other day that made a case that it's actually pretty fucking good cardio. Like they had a whole dumbbell circuit type routine based on 20 rep sets and 15 second rest periods. Supposedly this burns like twice as many calories as most other forms of cardio. Thoughts on this?

You are retarded. LISS causes more cortisol release than HIIT.
>>40725215
Then why does any bodybuilder worth a damn do 1-2 hours of walking on an incline for cardio(LISS)?
>>40725226
Isnt cardio supposed to get rid of cortisol?
>>40725193
t. Has never done 10x50m sprints
>>40725162
other way around

a 30 mn HIIT session?
Only if you're going equal time effort-rest.
On a 2 to 1 ratio, that's 20 mn of full-blast intensity, very few people can do that.

LISS is fueled primarily by fat
HIIT is fueled primarily by glycogen

I do kettlebell front squats with 2x16kg for 30 minutes, pulse monitor says it burns 500kcal, but I'm a fat ass so everything burns lot of calories.
do both

It's called circuit training and is 70 years old.
