This may be an idiotic question is there a difference between eating 3000 calories and not eating the next day and eating 1500 each day?
>pic unrelated
Yes there is
Something something glucose levels

Thermodynamically no. There is a sect of people who would rather calculate their calorie intake over a week instead of on a day-by-day basis.
If you fasted one day and gorged the next you would feel so shitty that it wouldn't be sustainable.
>>40712810
this is called intermittent fasting and is better than eating at a deficit every day.

If you are asking this question, I suspect that this pic may be more related than you're willing to admit.

WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOUR POINT?!
It's not your fucking thread.
>>40713071
what difference does that make?
>>40713089
In what world would you pitch multi-day IF fasting to somebody who's curious about how calorie counting works? That's literally giving somebody a biochemistry answer to a math question.

i now realise that op didn't actually specify that he was cutting, i just assumed that. it's true though, when it comes to losing fat, alternate day fasting is better than continuous calorie restriction.
>>40713158
>better
Maybe for you. If somebody is trying to START a healthier lifestyle and they need to learn FUNDAMENTALS about how to diet and exercise then continuous calorie restriction is a much "better" idea.
If you don't start with a solid understanding of how to count calories, how to choose healthy foods and how to plan meals, then alternate day fasting is no better than any fad diet like South Beach or juice detox.

>Calories in vs calories out this way is better for weight loss than calories in vs calories out this way

This.
I fast mon-sat and on Sunday I eat 21k calories. Never felt better
>>40714019
Why stop at a week?
I only eat on the last day of each month. #IntermittentFasting
>>40712964
Nah, I do this every once in a while if I'm not counting calories and just eat when I'm hungry. Or it's the weekend, I didn't get groceries and can't really afford takeout. Feels fine, eating more regularly is a chore.

How would somebody eat one month worth of food in one day?
>>40714251
Well in america i've seen plenty of people eat a month worth of food in one day so i think the opposite can be done as well.
