I want to get fit, I've heard kettlebells are a good place to start to develop a good base strength.

Squat bench row, rest, squat overhead dead, rest, Squat bench row, rest
Do this with barbell. Increase weight weekly.
You're a beginner, you need to get used to the movements via frequency
