It's just sugary caffeine, typically unhealthy if you get the calorie versions. 0 calorie no sugary ones are OK just not every day. Most taste samey as fuck.

I find NOS to be more original flavor wise. I just stick to preworkout now though.

also, if they really are bad for you, which brand is the least harmful?

Black coffee and green tea are cheaper and actually good for you. As a bonus they don't get you addicted to the taste of sugar.

It's mom science. Sips are legit and taste best. It's a meme on /fit/ because it's been a common preworkout for years in the powerlifting community. Caffeine pills are probably just as good, but sips happen to taste amazing.
