You shouldn't just go and roll around in the tanning bed like a roasting chicken, you need to ease in if you're very pale and not in the sun too often. Don't go to a cheap place, you actually need a specialist to advise you what to do, how long, etc.
Now go and get that tan, don't be a pussy.

Best thing is to get something like Dove-Summer-Medium-Nourishing-Lotion and learn to apply it properly to get some colour
and then during the summertime in your country go outside a halla lot to get a base tan

That's a cream that will either give you bronze colour or grant you the status of Emperor of the Orange Empire. Get the best one you can if you don't want keys to the citrus kingdom.

In my experience they are unreliable because they sometimes leave uneven lines and spots, and the colour sometimes washes off within a week which makes the whole thing kinda high maintenance.
