I actually am thinking about straightening my hair, but one problem is how quickly it becomes wavy again. How does one avoid this bullshit? I normally keep my hair short but I wanna grow it out again, and the only few times I've straightened my hair it's gone back to wavy in just a few hours.

Buy a keratin treatment kit and straghten hair once according to instructions. Should las a couple of months at least, if you use the right shampoo.

it will damage your hair. even if you do it properly, it will still damage your hair.

it will speed up your baldness if you are prone to balding. if you're not, then it will just require A LOT of care and product to make look natural and minimise the damage.
