Is doing each muscle group once a week good? I workout 3 times a week, legs/shoulders on monday, chest/triceps on tuesday and back/biceps on friday
>>40638848
you should be working each muscle 3/week
>>40638848
>not working every thing every day
do you want to fail?
>>40638879
>>40638870
so i should do full body 3x a week?
>>40638888
you should do full body 7 times a week
>>40638888
yes, full body 3x a week is better

wrong
3x per week only if you're a beginner
once intermediate, 2x per week

is doing one exercise for one muscle group enough? its seems like i should do more, but then the workout would take like 2 hours till I finish doing every group

lazy cunt
>>40639243
This is true
>>40639243
>not squatting everyday
>>40638848
nope. 2x minimum and 3x for lagging body parts.
once a week is probably good enough for maintaining.
>>40638848
If we speak from a scientific perspective even one time a week for 45 minutes is enough for muscle growth.

Yes.
Working them twice a week is also good.
Also three times.

I still doubt all these sports science """studies""", they rarely properly control for other variables, sample sizes are often small, there is rarely a control group, and the results aren't as strong as the conclusions have you believe.
I say this working as a statistician.

Thanks professor, but nobody in this thread asked what the bare minimum for muscle growth was.
>>40640733
This.

Based rippe-Sama has a great discussion piece where a studies like this a blown out for their ineptitude. Many of them, even a layperson can see the flaws using nothing more than reading comprehension and a little common sense.
But sure, train once a week. Enjoy your once a week gains.

Why do you guys keep believing "studies" when all of them have different results ?

What about people that participate in sports that incorporate the whole body on the days they don't lift? I do a split so my whole body doesn't feel taxed when I do athletic activities outside of lifting. You guys do other forms of fitness right?
