My grandpa who is like 75 is a retired farmer (but still helps out) and he constantly surprises me with his strength. Just today he was moving huge loads of hay with a pitchfork like it was nothing. It's like he was 40 years younger while doing it.

Even strong and in shape farmers don't look like that without the gym. A good portion of my family are farmers in a rural area. Some of them are fatties, some are in good shape for farmers. They all have strong forearms and backs. They all have more muscular endurance than anybody else I know. Almost all of them get winded from anything faster than a brisk walk.
