About to attempt deadlifts for the first time. I'm a 5'7" manlet 135lb DYEL. My first attempt at squats I only managed to lift like 75lbs. How much weight should I put on the bar to avoid going to snap city?
don't even bother, just do babyweight rows

You might be at a point where you can't lift enough weight to actually injure your spine.

next time you'll be able to lift 5 or even 10 lbs more. keep going just make sure your form is good so record yourself and stop if your back starts rounding badly

Any man without a disability or medical conditions like brittle bones etc should be able to deadlift atleast one plate, One plate at the fucking minimum because you should be able to pull 185lb or 80kg too, if you can't then i don't know what to say other than you are a weak as shit
How accurate is this chart? Should I attempt 115?

you could attempt 115 but anything bellow 135 is essentially a deficit deadlift

Seems pretty accurate. I'm intermediate lifter 6'1" 167lbs just hit 300lb for 1 rep the other day, you probably do 115

If you are just starting then do not attempt to lift as much as you can, lift basically just the bar with a small amount of weight added on and repeat the lift with good form. Then keep adding on weight until the point where you can still keep good form but it is becoming very difficult, at this point do your sets.
