I did a 1200 calorie diet with 6 hours of cardio a day for 3 months and it was painful but I also lost like 35lbs

Don't do 500, do like 1000 and you'll be fine if you get proper nutrients

This was me when my goal was just to lose weight. I was like you, I was only focused on being skinny. It's not hard. Just buy a scale, do the tdee, and deduct 500, and eat that many calories. It's not something I'd recommend since I regret not lifting during that time but it if you want weight loss, just do that.

How long did it take you?

I went from 310 to 240 in 4 months just by a diet change without tracking my calories, and lifting.
I've been stuck at 240, so I'm counting calories now and wanna have an estimate for how long it'd take to get to 200.

I'm lifting still, so I'll assume losing weight will just be slower than just getting skinny.

About six months. I just weighed myself every morning and adjusted my calorie intake. If I felt really hungry than I would drink water or jack off. Just start small and work your way up.
