everyone starts somewhere. squats are actually a relatively hard exercise to perform correctly, especially if you've never lifted weights before.

Have you tried doing them on the smith machine? Also, make sure to stretch your arms before hand. The first time I tried I almost pulled a muscle in my arm.

Front squat friend. If flexibility is a problem, then put it on top of your front side, and cross your arms to hold it up, instead of twisting your arms.
For the strenght parth, when holding your arms crossed over the bar on front side, your shoulders will position in a more horizontal way, and you will use less force to hold it in place. almost noone.
