OK, noob question here...
I'm currently doing a two day split of upper body and legs, so I do 3 days of upper body, 3 days of legs, and 1 day of rest per week.
I'm thinking of changing to a 4 day split (back/tris, chest/bis, shoulders/core, legs).
My question is, if for example you're only working your legs one day a week as opposed to two or three, does that mean it will take longer for your legs to get stronger? Just unsure of the correct explanation here. Thanks.
Yes less legs training = less muscle built per week.
Also you could do ppl and hit everything twice a week. It's basically Chest/tris/shoulders, back/traps/biceps, legs.
do the 5 main lifts + a few accessories thrown in there

yeah that sounds like a better option. It seems like a long break if you're going 5 days+ between working out certain muscles

If you are able work out your legs every other day then you aren't properly working your legs out.

5 main lifts.. bench press, shoulder press, deadlift, bb row, squat?

yeah I thought that could be the case too. Does that go for all exercises/body parts? I find I can do most upper body stuff every second without much problem

right

so like
>Push
Bench
Ohp
Dips
Flies/Incline Bench/Close Grip/Delt Raise/whatever you feel like adding
>Pull
Deadlift
Row
Shrug/Curl/Pullup/Chinup/Ham Curl/ etc
>Legs & Abs
Squat
Front Squat/Calf Raise/Leg Press/Situp/Hanging Leg Raises/etc
I forgot to mention that leg day is also ab day. Also so your legs get a bit more rest you might want to go legs-push-pull-x. Squats the day after deadlifts isn't ideal for pushing for more weight. You could also add a cardio day.
