Progress pics.
This is natural progression for me.
First pic was me at 6'2" 158 lbs - recovering from a fractured vertebrae (opiates + lack of appetite had me losing 20 lbs)
Second pic is me at around 180 lbs. Not working out, just recovering from getting off opiates and eating more.
Third pic is me at 190 lbs at the conclusion of basic training.
Fourth pic is of me now at 205 lbs. Never having gone to a gym in my life aside from the basic training 3 months of eating healthy + workouts.
How easy would it be for me to get into ~220 lb weight area with loss of fat and gaining of muscle if I start working out a bit?
I only eat junk/fast food and I drink 1-2-3 litres of pop per day. It's beginning to take a toll on my body, but I don't think I am getting that fat. I have a guy but no real noticeable out of shape look. Right?
I am wondering what the best way to get into athletic (cardio + weight training) shape would be.
I am considering running 5k 5x a week + playing hockey 2-3x a week as a way of getting enough cardio in. As for weights, I was looking into bodyweight exercises as I really can't bring myself to going to the gym every day. I am not a social person.
As for diet, I am planning to buy big bags of chicken from the local butcher and having that with some vegetables and potatoes etc. Steak sometimes as well.

OP here. Starting strength seems to be the most popular beginner method. Is it possible to do from home? I really can't stand being in public places, let alone a place like that!
I suppose SS + hard cardio could transform me into something worthwhile in 3 months.
