I'm stalling on my OHP. I can only do up to 3 reps (4 if conditions are ideal) of my max weight.

Would doing five sets of triples at my max working weight help me break through this block? I am not going to deload.

deload.

okay do your 3 reps, then lower the weight and burn your shoulders, do some accessory work also, front and/or lateral raises.
>>
I've broken through plateaus by doing shit like 10x3 or 15x2 with increased weight.

Yeah to me it makes sense that doing doubles or triples for like 10 sets at a heavy weight still conveys the same gain from doing more reps.

It's like 5x3 or 3x5. both end up being the same number of repetitions at the end of the workout just done differently.

Alright, since you want to be an autist about it, do accessory work for shoulders. Although deloading will likely get you past that hump in a week, doing only accessory work could literally take a month to have any affect.

I'm curious as to why? I really don't like revisiting old weight, even for warm ups. How is deloading more effective than what I explained in >>40451276 ?

I'll explain it like this. Say you're stalling on 135x3, for 5 sets.
You go down to 125, bang out 125x10 on 5 sets, next workout, bang out 130x8 on 5 sets, then on the following workout you're back up to 135 and you should be able to bust through it.
If you can't lift 135 for 3 reps, what makes you think you'd be able to do 140 for 3 reps? The strength isn't there yet. Lastly warmups are important as fuck, nobody with half a brain ever pulled a 405 deadlift cold. Warmup sets prevent injury and reinforce good form.

Do 1 extra set of push press of amrap of the same weight.
