how do people that train for size get motivated? I started going

how do people that train for size get motivated?

I started going to the gym in September, my muscles have barely increased in size and no noticeable difference is there to be honest. My lifts however, yes. I could barely do 30kg deadlifts when I started and now I can pull off 100 kg for 5 reps without a problem.

I, too, started training for size, I thought I'd get those muscles and look good pretty soon. But this was not and is not happening. It will take ages. Strength however? Oh my God, without seeing my lifts go up week by week (this started really happening when I began SS 1 month ago), I would have given up a couple of months after beginning.

So yeah my question is, how do people get motivated when their entire reason is size and nothing else? Doing all those high volume machine exercises seems so boring as fuck, just seeing someone doing anything but barbel exercises makes me want to vomit out of boredom.

and then, a year later, the guys training with higher volume aiming for size look better than you and smoke you at upper body lifts

not sure where this meme came from that lifting for strength and lifting for size are totally different things, or that lifting for size entails a bunch of cable machine work for 2 hours with sets of 30

It's impossible for you to get motivated, because even if you literally pull 6 times your starting point, you'll still be only mediocre.

Consider getting other hobbies.

it's been like 5 months, keep lifting, eating, and getting stronger. there's nothing wrong with just doing strength routines, but i find it gets really boring. i did SS for like 6 months and realized i liked doing isolation exercises. gets you a good pump and honestly i think it improves your physique a fair bit.
