I ma a novice. I do the dumbbell flys with 30lb dumbbells. Is it too light?

>30lb
There's no way your form is at all correct.
>>40405324
I bench 1 plate x 10
>>40405308
30lbs? Are you joking?
You should be able to easily do 1/2 of your bench because you're engaging the same muscles. So if you're doing 1pl8, you should be able to do 60s, 2pl8, 100s, etc.

I think i do the proper form, only it hurts my wrists and forearms bones. But otherwise it feels too light.
>>40405338
That doesn't mean a lot but if you can do 30lb with good form, keep at it and progress like any other lift.
Cables are superior to db flyes anyway so I'd start throwing those in
Only thing high weight matters for is your ego. I do 15 lbs each and still make huge gains because I go slow and steady with good form
>>40405350
I'm benching 50 lbs plate on each side + the barbell, so what should be the flys weight?
>>40405417
I thought you get better gains with heavier weight?
>>40405355
>only it hurts my wrists and forearms bones
I had the same problem, don't do em. Try cable crossovers or pec deck or whatever.

I am doing at home. Gym is too far and I can't exercise around people, cannot concentrate, self-conscious, jealous, etc
>>40405423
Dude is a faggot troll do not listen to him. Most I see people do is 60s. Fucking bullshit that someone who benches 200+ let alone anyone do 100lb flyes. I would do some googling to see a respectible weight tho, I don't do flyes personally.
>>40405470
Are you a normal autist or finn?
>>40405487
I am a nigga. Look at the goaty
>>40405384
superior how?

Time under tension, actual motion, I'm not 100% sure what it is. I do 45lb flyes with dbs but they don't hit my chest nearly as hard as cable flyes do.
