As someone with a PhD who works in biotech I'll give my two cents on this.

The stuff she talks about is minor shit. Western blot is easy to multitask with, and cell culture is so faceroll I had undergrads do it.

What really sketches me out is her saying she's going to graduate in 3.5 years (pretty short for molecular bio stuff, average is like 5-6 years) and I can only find two publications with her name, and one's a conference presentation. That strikes me as real weird. I've never known someone to think about doing a defense with so little published material.
