Lean muscles will generate far more force, it's why people who do a lot of cardio are not as weak as twigs.
Those who lift for strength and not looks tend to try and stay leaner as it makes it more practical to use.

For a dude training for strength, his stats are totally believable except for his bf% (he's probably in the 10-12 range). but also the lack of strength of some of the bodybuilding focused people never fails to astound me, the only people who squat over 3pl8 in my gym are me and the rugby players who are all 60+lbs heavier than me
