Macros matter, but programming doesn't as much.
Even on a bro-split, if you have at least 1 exercise (like squat, ohp, bench, or whatever) that you constantly progressively overload on, you will grow.
I do a bro split now, and I just have a "King set" for my main exercise, to make sure I am still adding weight to the bar and getting stronger, despite doing pyramid sets and drop sets I still make sure to get at least one king (PR) set in.
