Im feeling really defeated, /fit/. I didnt even bother with the deadlifts, i just went home. This is the closest ive come to missing a gym session.

We all have good days and bad days, anon. Keep going. I love you.
>>40302150
is there a reason for this? why would this happen
Keep trying my man. You'll eventually warmup with that, I promise
But don't ever miss your deadlifts again because you're down. That's weak. You don't want to be weak, do you?
>>40302159
It can happen for any number of reasons. Maybe you didn't get enough sleep. Maybe you didn't eat enough. Maybe your most just got weird and had a tough time recovering from the last workout. Stay consistent and you'll make great progress over the long term. One workout is nothing. One week is nothing. Keep going. I love you.

Yea i get this too sometimes
Some days i can OHP 50 kgs for 3 reps, other days i can barely do 40 for 5
>last week did 180kgx5 deadlifts fine no problem
>this week 180kgx3 deadlifts but almost fainted on the first two reps and fell to the ground on the third

Overreaching.
Either due to too much VIF or not enough recovery
Either way, you exceeded your MRV.
Have you ever deloaded yet?
You can't progress linearly forever, you know
>>40302842
Thought it was strange because I hadn't been for 3 days. How long does it generally take to recover after exceeding MRV?
I deloaded a couple months ago.
I had a similar experience, OP. I just failed on bench one day, nearly killed me. NEVER lift solo, or at least do it without the clips on. Know when and how to dump. Try it, drill it.
>>40302842
VIF?
>>40302842
what is VIF and MRV? googling those letters gives a lot of unrelated stuff
>>40302159
You need to eat more.
>>40302926
>>40303066
VIF is volume/intensity/frequency
Volume is reps x sets, intensity is % of 1 rep max used and frequency is how often in a week something is done
Never heard of MRV.
>>40303092
Maximum Recoverable Volume
>>40301723
So what? Did you expect to never fail a set in your entire life?
>>40301723
i know people say add 2.5 every session, but i couldn't do that at all, so don't lose help
t. whopping 2p8 bench x5
>>40303196
i never expected to fail without knowing why. it just doesnt make sense pham
