If you're not controling the negative, you're wasting your time in the gym.
If you're not training for a powerlift meeting, control that fucking negative and get those gains, anon. Eventually you'll get to 1/2/3/4 too, it will take a little more time, but it will be worth.

Lots of people doesn't control the negative on bench press mostly, also I see a lot of folks just "falling down" on squats, rushing everything.
About deadlifts it depends, if it's heavy it's normal to drop, you won't be able to control a new PR, but when going 75% PR it's good to control all the movement.
