Slightly off topic, but im convinced the easiest way to make planks last longer is by leaning back on your toes and putting weight slightly on your feet, try it, isn't noticeable either, i used to do it all the time when i played rugby
>>
rkc plank
>>
145lbs, 5'11, i can hold a plank for 2 minutes

how many 2 min planks should i be doing a day? and how far apart should they be?
>>
>>40232987
8 mins x 10

So, 40.
>>
>>40233093
so do 4 2 min planks back to back, then do it 9 more times throughout the day?
>>
try lifting weights

Tbh you should be planking anytime you are laying down for max gains

Do some cable tension holds.
Pick the lower cable.
Get the 1-hand handle.
Use 2 hands and press that handle forward, while on the bottom stack,
It's all about tension, and not about contraction.

>flat and tight and visible. yep.
>>
You probably do them wrong. Keep your head up, arms sticking out forward not holding them together. Tilt your pelvis upward and squeeze your flutes until you feel it in your abs, then hold it.
>>
My back gives out before arms or abs when I do planks, I dont get it.
>>
WHO 2PL8 PLANK HERE
>>

>squeeze your flutes
you don't wank while you plank

if you can hold 5x60s plank you need to move on to more difficult variation, if you want to increase your strength

>>40232354
are you doing them in correct form? are you working your arms? your OP pic shoulder muscle is the one giving out? then move your elbows past your shoulders to the front
>>
>>40232354
make sure your arms are perpendicular to the ground and under your shoulders. but if your arms give out first you have other things you need to work on besides abs. if you still want to do abs try leg raises or decline crunches
