You are eating less than your body needs to keep its weight.

your liver & muscles can hold glycogen, when you binge ate, you refilled your muscles and liver's glycogen stores and then noticed all that extra energy you had during your workout.

It's the same reason that after a extended cut, if you have a binge day you will notice your muscles fill back out with glycogen and water.

I presume that everyone here is cutting from 15% to 10% and not some fat powerlifter cutting from 90% to 50%
