Anyone here gone from a push/pull/legs twice a week (So six training days) to a regular chest/arms/back/shoulders/legs cycle? What was the initial strength fall off like (If any) and how much of a difference did you think it made in quality of sessions? My bodies way too adjusted to the frequency of my training, havent had doms in months, so looking to switch up and be more focused on individual groups.
Routine and programming general I guess
I've been lifting 4.5 years.
I recently changed back to a Full body 3 days a week, after doing PPL 6 days a week. Haven't lost any size, gained strength.
When I went from PPL to brosplit I lost strength/size.

What does fullbody look like on paper, do you have much in the way of auxiliary movements or is it largely if not entirely compounds? Do you taper at all throughout the week as far as volume goes?

Imo you can go harder in the gym when you only go to the gym 3-4 times a week compared to going 6+ times a week.
Also there's not really much difference, but for me 3-4 times a week feels so much better.
Going 6 times a week just left me so much more fatigued than going just 3-4 times.

My accessories tend to be hard ones, like weighted chins, weighted dips etc. My easy accessories are lateral raises.
I noticed that just getting strong as possible at Flat Bench was equally as effective as doing 10-15 sets of different chest exercises.
Overall I noticed the stronger I got at any main lift, the less I required accessories for gains. Like for example, when I got to 315+ for reps on squats, I noticed I didn't even need leg press or leg extensions anymore.
Same with weighted chin-ups, once I hit 40kg for sets of 5, I noticed I didn't need a bunch of dif bicep curls in my routine, same with weighted dips, no more tricep accessories.

Yeah I felt like I really fell of later in my workouts with my current frequency, just way too much volume since im on a tryhard BB hypertrophy routine, I wasnt even fatigued after workouts by the end of the week so much as just generally stiff and tight, never really got "pumps" either

post routine man. i've been on a ppl almost since i started lifting, only 4-5 times a week tho. and i have made good gains, i make linear size and strenght gains, even when cutting, however it's a bit tiring and strength gains are slow so i was thinking of switching up a bit every now and then and do for a month strength shit, then again ppl then again strength.
anyway post routine, i want to get swole and i still think my ppl is best for that but i want to get stronger as well
I have only been lifting for five months. At first I wasted two months doing SS then realized my legs and ass were getting huge but arms still looked dyel as fuck. So now I'm on a six day split. So far progress is kinda slow but at least my upper body is looking better than it did.

I did PPL 2x a week last spring/summer, right after some power programs. Still focused on compounds, just more bro split tier. I got pretty aesthetic without watching my diet too much, but maintaining strength was kinda difficult
