Is fasting legit? Is anyone doing it and does it actually have benefits?

I've been doing 14-20h fasting for a while now and I can't tell if I am losing weight because of it, or because I just eat less.

Yes. It works really fucking well. As long as you're not just gorging for 10-4 hours that you can eat.

What I want from fasting is to get my insulin levels in check. I feel like eating any sugar wrecks my body and drains me of energy. I think fasting would help with that.

I also want to boost my testosterone levels, but some sources say it does boost testosterone, while others don't even mention it.

Yerp. I tried 'IF' for a month, it works. My routine:

Woke up, had a cup of black coffee. I was at the gym within an hour of waking up. Stayed there for 1.5 hrs.

Rowing/Treadmill for 5 mins
Dynamic stretches for 5-7 mins
Lifted heavy
Static stretching with foam rolling

I'd eat my dinner about 3 hrs before bedtime.

I used the keto strips that you piss on the check whether your body is in ketosis mode or not (I was NOT on a keto diet, just a normal calorie deficit diet). After a week, my body was in ketosis mode and lost fuck loads of fat.

I was weak when I went to the gym (was lifting about 75 - 85% of my pb), but that's expected.

Tip: Meal prep and buy walnuts.

I did it for like 2 and a half weeks and lost at least 10 lbs. Given it was a really extreme fast, one meal a day like 800 kcals with little to no carbs. Now a week after coming off it I'm constipated
